Gallery Wall Ideas

I recently changed up the gallery wall in our family room behind our couch, and I thought I’d share it today, along with some other inspiration pics I found online. As with most things I do, I didn’t think too far ahead with the layout of the wall. I just started hanging things and adjusted as I went along.

The “Choose to Love” canvas is from my shop. Many times the artwork from my shop comes into being because I have wall space that I want to fill in my house.  The oar (below) also came to be because I wanted to add something long and narrow above the gallery wall. It is personalizable (is that a word?) with a last name or a number, which is what I chose.

The wall is mostly filled with Goodwill & Ikea frames, a yard sale plate, an ampersand from Hobby Lobby, and some of my artwork. I like to keep the frames all the same color to keep things looking crisp and clean.

Here are a few more gallery walls that inspire me…

And I have a winner from the Kohl’s giveaway! I used random.org and it chose #27 – Andrea!  Thanks everyone who entered!

  1. Beautiful wall Aimee. I love your style. I always love to see how you decorate your house! I’m usually afraid I’m going to end up with too many of my own signs in my decor…lika sign shop instead of a home lol. I like the way you subtly add in your artwork. It’s not “too much” yet shows “there’s an artist living here!”
